In episode VI of our series “As the Apartment Turns” we focus on the strong need for customer service skills. Good customer service equates more leases. When you look at apartment occupancy percentages that make you want to faint, you should also look at your apartment leasing professionals and see how they are treating prospects.
As consumers we face terrible customer service on a regular basis. Statistically is has been shown that the majority of companies focus
on new customers as opposed to retaining what they have even though retaining is more profitable. For the apartment industry it goes both ways. Solid customer service retains residents and it helps get new ones in the door.
This episode of “As the Apartment Turns” stars Millie Cuzquen-Mayerma and Jamin Saar. You need to be prepared to take leasing calls even if it is at lunchtime. If you have more than one person in the office, make sure you stage lunch breaks accordingly. If you are all by your lonesome then you need to prepare yourself for those possible interruptions. In your mind you have to always have that customer service first mentality. Enjoy the video below.
As always I really appreciate any feedback or comments you may have. Please feel free to share this post with your network.
