One of the premier events of the year is almost upon us. NAA 2011 is almost here and I am jumping for joy about the prospect of seeing so many of my friends and potentially new friends for a couple of days. The event goes by so quickly and can leave you wishing you had more time to meet people, visit this session or check out a vendor’s products and services.
In order to get the most out of the event I would love to hear your survival tips. Leigh Curry posted on our Facebook page this tip: “Network, network, network. Don’t be afraid to introduce yourself and ask questions.” I could not agree more Leigh. The educational sessions look fantastic and I am sure the after parties will rock. One important tip I want to share is about the mobile site that NAA has available. The picture included in this post is a screenshot. It’s fairly straightforward. Simply sign up for your MyShow Planner account and then start the process of choosing which sessions and vendors you wish to visit. I would suggest you use a desktop to make your plans, it will go much faster. By using this tool you take all the guess work out of where you want to go and you are not bombarded with cumbersome papers.
It can be exhausting and painful if you bring the wrong shoes. There is a lot of walking involved. If you are staying at the Luxor as opposed to Mandalay Bay do not let the fact that they are right beside each other fool you. We stayed there a couple of years ago and it is one looonnnngggg walk! The point is to wear something comfortable. For all of our weary attendees we will have a portable foot and back Massager at our booth number 1026. So you will get the added bonus of seeing us and getting a little rub down. How cool is that!!??
For those of you who can’t make it be sure to follow the #NAAEduConf hashtag to keep up with what is going on.
Now it’s your turn. What can you share with us that are helpful tips in order to get the most of this fantastic event? Please share your thoughts in the comment section below.
